Anime Origins characters and the anime they come from

23 of the 26 units in our records carry an anime attribution, searchable below by either name.

Third-party sourceCompiled from Pro Game Guides (2026-08-17), Beebom (2026-08-15), Destructoid (2026-08-15). We have not played the game to check any of it.

Look up either name

Type the anime name or the in-game name, whichever one you have, and this returns the other side with the rarity and placement our records hold. A series name works too, if what you want is every unit drawn from one show.

Type at least two letters, or use one of the buttons.

Alternate spellings work as input as well, because three units are written differently depending on which site you read. Which spelling belongs to which site is set out on our Anime Origins tier list compared across three sites.

Why the name you know finds nothing

Guide sites index what the game calls a unit. You remember what the anime called the character. Those two vocabularies barely touch, so a page can hold exactly the answer you want, filed under a string you would never type. Yuta is in the game as Cursed Lover (Pure Love), and Madara as Madaro (Edo Tensei). Exactly one unit in our records keeps the original spelling, Leorio; the rest are altered.

Where the attribution comes from is worth stating, because it is weaker than the ratings sitting next to it. Our unit records carry a rating per source, so we can name which site said what. The anime attribution has no such field: it arrived with the same compilation from Pro Game Guides, Beebom, Destructoid, our data does not record which of them supplied each one, and we have not played the game to check a single resemblance ourselves. Treat the mapping as a way to find a unit, not as a statement about what the developers intended.

One internal check we can run. The three Secret units are described in a second file on this site, compiled separately, and it carries an attribution of its own for each. All 3 agree with the table below. Two records agreeing is not proof of anything; two records disagreeing would have been proof of a problem, which is why it is worth running rather than assuming.

The full mapping, in-game name to anime name

Sorted by series so the shows sit together, which is the order you want when you are checking what survived from a franchise rather than chasing one unit. 12 series are represented across the 22 units whose series our data records; the rest name a character only. Rarity and placement are here because they are what you need next; how the three published lists rank these units is a different question, answered on the tier list page rather than repeated here.

This is not the roster. One of the three lists states it covers only Secret, Mythic and Limited units, so the game holds more units than any of them names, and we do not know how many. What each rarity means, and which rarities are confirmed at all, is on our Anime Origins codes, units and rates home page.

The units we cannot attribute

3 of the 26 units in our records carry no anime attribution. Each has a name that suggests something, and a suggestion is exactly what we are not going to print. A guess costs nothing to write and is the one thing that would make this page worth less than the search results it is trying to beat.

  • Tango (Star of Festivals)

Mythic, Ground placement. Not attributed in our records.

  • Mykie (Toman)

Mythic, Support placement. Not attributed in our records.

  • Itsoda

Legendary, Hill placement. Not attributed in our records.

If you know where one of these is stated, and can point at the place it is stated, tell us and it moves into the table above with the source named.

The other game that turns up in this search

Searches for characters in this game also surface a separate title, Seven Deadly Sins: Origin. It is a different game and this site does not cover it. The confusion has a reason on our side of it: 3 units here are credited to Seven Deadly Sins characters (Ban, Zeldris, Meliodas), so the two share vocabulary as well as a word in the name.

Everything on this site is about the Roblox tower defense game published at roblox.com. If you landed here wanting the other one, this is the wrong page, and saying so is cheaper for you than a scroll.

Anime Origins characters, questions people ask

Which anime is Anime Origins based on?
No single one. Of the 23 units in our records that carry an attribution, 22 name a series as well, and those cover 12 shows, among them Bleach, Demon Slayer, Dragon Ball, Hellsing. Most unit names are altered versions of the character name. One is not: Leorio, spelled exactly like the character.
Who is Cursed Lover in Anime Origins?
Our records credit Cursed Lover (Pure Love) to Yuta from Jujutsu Kaisen. It is a Secret rarity unit with Ground placement.
Why does searching an anime character name find nothing on guide sites?
Because the guides index the in-game name and you searched the anime name. The two vocabularies do not overlap for most units, so a page can hold the answer and still not match what you typed. That is the gap this page fills.
How many characters are in Anime Origins?
We cannot tell you. Our records cover 26 units, and that is not the roster. One of the three lists states it covers only Secret, Mythic and Limited units, so the game holds more units than any of them names, and we do not know how many.
Is this the same game as Seven Deadly Sins: Origin?
No. Anime Origins is a Roblox tower defense game. The overlap is easy to hit because 3 units here are credited to Seven Deadly Sins characters, but they are separate games and this site covers only the Roblox one.
